The digital divide, is the gap shrinking or growing exponentially?
As I drive my daily 120km to drop/pick up the kids, I often end up listening to talk shows.
Properties, finances, music, religion… Depends on the mood.
With my never ending quest to do what is best for my kids and family, I listened to a mid day child psychologist lecturing about “kids etiquette”.
Long story short, a lady calls, describing how devastated she was to pick up her 6 year old son from school, bawling his eyes out because his friends labeled him as “poor” due to the fact that their household is IPADLESS.
The Miss part of me thought to herself “SERIOUSLY?????” But then the Mama part of me asked me about my reaction if my kid was to go through such an experience….
seriously, is the digital divide on a shrink? Or multiplying exponentially?
I am too scared to answer….
